Congratulations to Michael Shields, Ames Construction’s Nevada Area Crushing Superintendent!

Ames Construction was honored in June with a 2024 Workforce Safety Award from the Laborers-Employers Cooperation and Education Trust (LECET), Mid-Atlantic Region.

Associated General Contractors of Utah has recognized Ames Construction’s safety excellence with a 2024 Diamond Award, 5-Star Level, in the category of 700,001 to 1 million hours worked.

For the 5th consecutive year, Ames Construction hiked for hope in Utah to raise awareness about suicide prevention and mental health in the construction industry.

For some Ames Construction team members, International Roadcheck isn’t just a date on a calendar. It’s an event that helps us work even more safely, every day of the year.

Mining professionals are five times more likely to lose a coworker to suicide than to a work-related injury or illness.
