As an Ames intern, you will:

Work alongside an experienced mentor
Gain hands-on experience in the field and the office

Spend time on jobsites with craft workers
Visit out-of-state projects
Bond over fun team-building activities with your fellow interns

In 2024, Ames provided opportunities to more than 100 interns pursuing careers in engineering, trade professions, accounting, information technology, safety, quality, environmental, and business development.

Finding Her Path

Chloe Cowen has the distinction of being Ames’ longest serving intern, completing her first internship in 2020 and returning every summer while attending Michigan Technological University. Graduated in 2024, Chloe says Ames gave her the opportunities to grow as both an engineer and a person.
