Ames Recognized for Safety in Rail Contracting; Bilow Named NRC Chairman
For the ninth consecutive year, Ames Construction is a platinum-level recipient of the Safe Contractor of the Year Award from the National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association (NRC).
An Ames team accepted the award at NRC’s annual conference in Hollywood, Florida, this month. Also at the conference, Ames’ Executive Vice President Curtis Bilow began a two-year term as NRC Chairman.
At the event, Eric Gehringer, Executive Vice President of Operations, Union Pacific Railroad, joined Bilow and outgoing Chairman Joe Daloisio on stage for a fireside chat that reinforced the importance of collaboration in advancing railroad safety, service, and operational excellence.
