Ames Welcomes Our 2025 Southwest Office Interns
Summer interns have joined Ames Construction in offices and job sites across the country.
We welcomed interns at Ames’ Southwest office in May, and before they deployed to their assigned job sites, they experienced a broad introduction to Ames Construction, including:
• In-house Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) training.
• Department orientations including operations, environmental, executive, pursuits and preconstruction, quality, estimating, operational risk and wellness, accounting, HR, survey, and IT.
• An office scavenger hunt.
• Technical training on plan reading, equipment capabilities, and project collaboration software.
• A Rinker Materials plant tour, where interns learned how reinforced concrete pipe is made.
• An Ames shop tour that included equipment orientation and the opportunity to operate an excavator with a trainer.
• A field trip to the U.S. 60 Queen Creek jobsite.
There is so much more in store for these interns this summer, and we are glad they’ve joined the Ames team!
