Two Ames Construction projects were named to “Roads & Bridges” magazine’s Top 10 Roads list for 2025!

The awards recognize innovative and creative projects that improve infrastructure and communities.

🏆 #2: METRO Transit Gold Line Bus Rapid Transit

When the 10-mile METRO Gold Line BRT opened in March, it became Minnesota’s first BRT system operating largely in dedicated lanes. The project delivers a major step forward for transit in the Twin Cities, pairing innovation with strong community and agency collaboration to improve mobility and reliability for riders.

🏆 #4: TH 169 Redefine – Elk River

This comprehensive reconstruction and redesign transformed 3.6 miles of Highway 169 in Elk River, Minnesota, reshaping mobility for a rapidly growing community. Through smart design, careful planning, and strong collaboration, the project converted this segment of Highway 169 into a full freeway while improving pedestrian safety, freight movement, and overall traffic flow.
