John “JP” Patterson is Ames Construction’s latest Foreman in Training (F.I.T.) graduate.

JP joined Ames’ blasting crew in Bagdad, Arizona, in October 2023. He quickly became a powderman because of his dedication to learning the trade and the extreme care he takes in his work.

Entering the F.I.T program in October 2024, he quickly learned the rules and regulations of blasting as well as safe construction practices. JP’s leadership abilities receive high marks from the crew.

JP has gone above and beyond by completing the American Explosives Group training course. He also completed the Wyoming Certification Class and is now a licensed blaster.

Congratulations to JP, and thank you to his mentors, Joey Reason, Steffan Peck, and James Harris! At Ames, we love to celebrate people when they reach new levels of excellence.
