Construction Safety Week 2025 begins Monday, May 5, and this year’s theme, ALL IN TOGETHER, helps us highlight the role every Ames Construction team member plays in keeping our projects safe year-round.
✏️ Monday: Plan with precision
Ames’ high-performing teams start every day and operation with a plan that considers all aspects of the task at hand. The earlier we plan a task, the more opportunities we have to develop risk controls that help us work safer.
⚡Tuesday: Identify high energy hazards
Safety is not just the absence of incidents; it is the presence of effective controls. To foster a truly safe environment, Ames uses the STCKY Wheel to identify and control high energy hazards.
👷 Wednesday: Own your part
Every Ames team member is responsible for safety and is empowered to stop work if safety is compromised. Our safety culture is built on strong plans, safety education, communication, and leaders who set an example and are present in the field.
